primary school mentorship
The Primary School Mentorship Program connects high school members of the Youth Civic Collective with elementary students to introduce the basics of civic engagement in an approachable and interactive way. Through classroom visits and small-group activities, mentors lead short sessions that combine discussion, games, and real-world examples to help younger students understand concepts like leadership, cooperation, and community responsibility. The program not only encourages civic awareness early on but also provides high school students with meaningful leadership and teaching experience, strengthening the connection between schools and their broader communities while building a foundation for lifelong civic participation.
cOMMUNITY LEADER FORUMS
The Community Leader Forums bring together local officials, educators, youth, and community members to discuss pressing civic issues and community challenges in an open, collaborative setting. Hosted by the Youth Civic Collective, these forums aim to bridge the gap between young people and decision-makers by fostering dialogue, understanding, and shared problem-solving. Students have the opportunity to ask questions, present ideas, and engage directly with leaders who influence local policy and development. Each forum focuses on a specific theme—such as environmental sustainability, education, or public service—and concludes with actionable takeaways that encourage continued youth involvement in civic life.
Civic ambassador program
The Civic Ambassador Program empowers high school students to serve as representatives of the Youth Civic Collective within their schools and communities, promoting civic engagement and awareness among their peers. Ambassadors lead initiatives such as voter education drives, classroom discussions, and community service projects that highlight the importance of active citizenship. They receive training in leadership, communication, and civic literacy, allowing them to effectively organize events, collaborate with local organizations, and inspire others to participate in public life. Through their work, ambassadors strengthen the presence of youth voices in civic spaces and help create a culture of informed, responsible participation across their communities.
